What goes around comes around...

Recently a won a Patrones magazine in a giveaway organised by Christina of Assorted Notions
In the spirit of this generosity I am having a giveaway of the July issue of Burda wof.
This is a great issue and has lots of lovely summer items such as this wrap skirt ( I have a lovely brown/cream linen lined up to make this one)...

For those who need dress-ups there is this...

And this great little summer skirt with top stitching detail...

In the Plus size section I love this swirly skirt...

Now I know there are some of you who read this blog who are already Burda aficionados, but for those who haven't tried it yet this is a great opportunity to try this magazine.
I will post the magazine anywhere in the world and all you need to do to get you name in the draw is leave a comment on your favorite item in your wardrobe at the moment and did you make it or is it RTW by Wednesday 5th November.
I don't get heaps of comments so please join in so that I can pass this magazine on and the joy of winning something!

  1. Now I've just got to pop in and say hello, I've been reading your blog for a few months now and really love seeing what you have made. I would love to go in the draw for the Burda WOF mag as I've heard so much about them but have never seen one!
My fave item in my wardrobe at the moment would have to be a little red dress (RTW) sadly. Need to start making more of my clothes!

  4. From another Sue here in Australia ... definitely my new red dress made with Simplicity 3775 ... I've seen the Burda mags in the newsagents but always been too chicken to have a go ... but I love the look of all the items in the one you showed us ... maybe this could be the push I need to become a Burda fan!

  5. My favourite thing at the moment is my Daisy skirt!! I drafted a pattern using my very old rusty skills and I love it. I think I will love my eyelet skirt too. I used to buy Burda and Neue Mode magazines about 25 years ago. How time flies!!!

  6. My favorite item at the moment is my blue coat with a peterpan collar- it was a RTW, as my sewing skills are not yet sharp enough to make a coat!
Thanks for entering me in your drawing

  7. Hi,
Beginning sewer here. One of my favorites is a top that a girlfriend made for me. I believe it is a jalie pattern. 3/4 sleeves. Crossover v neck top. Inserted onto the side on the front with gathering. Lovely purple with flowers. She even added 2 inches to the length, because I have a long waist!

  8. My favourite clothing item is a black and white animal print stretch mesh Vnecked Tshirt I made for myself. I also made a rectangular scarf and a fabric flower from the same fabric. I can wear it in lots of different ways and with lots of different things!! It has been a real turning point for me. I will make a number of accessories with the clothes so that I can better utilise my wardrobe.

  10. I thought I'd left a comment but it's not here...so I'll try again (& change my answer LOL). My fave item at the moment is a top I made from Simp 4076 in a black and white geometric poly knit print. Love it, love it, love it!

  11. Gosh - first time posting on someone's blog!! Favourite item in the wardrobe? It will have to be DD1's dress made for halloween - semi circular skirt with sleeveless bodice, in lilac/white stripe with a purple/green embroidered net overlay on the bodice and skirt - bodice is fully self lined (seemed easier than bias binding the neck/armhole edges), and all seams are french seams (seemed quieter on the sewing machine than on the overlocker)... all done from 9pm through to 6am on Thu evening.
We'll be starting earlier for next year's fairy halloween outfit... and I will be using a pattern (rather than trying to wing it!)
I do like your blog and enjoy popping in rather more than i should...!!
